Operation and maintenance of the doors

Use

The outside doors manufactured by Stolpaw are designed to close construction openings to separate residential areas from the outside space. Due to the variety of possible usage conditions, users must make sure our products fir the intended conditions of use.

The doors may only be warehoused and stored in dry rooms, free of humidity, with good ventilation, insulated against weather conditions. The products cannot be stored in as-built buildings, wet rooms deprived of ventilation or provided with ventilation that fails to conform with standard conditions.

Prevent the protective film from heating in storage prior to transportation as it may cure with the lacquer coat (the doors may in no case be repackaged in stretch films after the original packaging has been removed).

Store the doors in rows of not more than 10 items and use spacers to protect the successive doors against crushing.

The doors should be fitted in buildings where 'wet' construction work has been completed, after plaster and flooring work have been finished and dry. At the time of finishing work, the door should be adequately protected from paints, plasters, and chemical agents in rooms with adequate ventilation.

Outside doors must be protected against direct exposure to weather conditions (rain, snow, direct sun radiation) by means of an open wind screen or roofing directly above the door. The roofing must be wide enough to extend beyond the outline of an open door. It must secure the door surface against splashes of falling (even slashing) rain, water trickling down the wing, and provide shade to the entire door in summer (temperatures of unprotected dark doors may be high and may cause resin to flow, especially out of coniferous wood – this is not a technical defect of the product.

Maintenance

All Stolpaw products are high quality but must be properly maintained to serve their users for a long time.

At least once year, lubricate all sliding locations in the moving furniture parts with oil, spray or grease. Apply silicone-resin lubricant to the frame seals once a year (preferably before winter). Inspect and, if needed, adjust the position of wing relative to frame by means of 3D hinges (adjustable in three planes) once a year.
